Itinerary:

Day 1: Rufiji River Boat Safari

Begin your journey with an 8:30 am departure for a scenic 4–5-hour drive to Nyerere National Park. Upon arrival, unwind and enjoy lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, embark on a thrilling boat safari along the Rufiji River, one of Tanzania’s most prominent waterways. Cruise past pods of hippos, basking crocodiles, and a variety of bird species, while taking in the serene beauty of the surrounding landscapes. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 2: Nyerere National Park Game Drive

Start the day with an early breakfast before heading to the park for a full-day game drive. Nyerere National Park is renowned for its remarkable concentration of wildlife, including herds of elephants, majestic lions, and elusive leopards. Take a break at a picnic site within the park to enjoy lunch amidst the wild. Continue exploring the diverse habitats, from sprawling savannahs to dense woodlands, before returning to your lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Departure

After breakfast, venture back into the park for a morning game drive, capturing the early activity of predators and grazers alike. Spot giraffes, zebras, and perhaps the endangered African wild dog before concluding your safari adventure. Check out of the park by 11:00 am and begin the return drive to Dar es Salaam, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
